What This Service Is

BD TO USA is a free scholarship finder for Bangladeshi students applying to US universities. The site provides:

• An AI-powered university matcher (AI Match) that matches users based on CGPA, IELTS score, field of study, and funding preferences
• A database of US universities with scholarship and admission information
• An application roadmap, FAQ, and success stories for guidance
• A newsletter with monthly scholarship alerts and deadline reminders

No University Affiliation

University names, scholarship details, acceptance rates, and program information appear on this site for informational purposes only. Their inclusion does not imply any relationship between BD TO USA and the institutions listed.

All university trademarks, logos, and names belong to their respective institutions.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

BD TO USA is a one-person side project. The database is compiled from publicly available sources including official university websites, scholarship portals, and community submissions. However:

• Scholarship amounts may have changed since data was last collected
• Application deadlines may have passed or shifted
• CGPA cutoffs and IELTS requirements may differ from what is shown
• Programs may have been discontinued, paused, or restructured
• Funding availability changes each academic cycle
• We are a single developer — data is not verified in real-time

We make no warranty — express or implied — that any information on this site is complete, accurate, up-to-date, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Always verify every detail directly on the official university website before making any decision.

Scam & Fraud Disclaimer

We list universities and scholarship opportunities for informational purposes only. We do not verify the legitimacy of every third-party contact, scholarship program, or admission consultant. Be aware:

• Guaranteed admission offers are always a scam. No legitimate university guarantees admission for a fee.
• Visa processing for money is a scam. Legitimate visa processes go through official US Embassy channels only.
• Scholarship agents asking for payment upfront are likely fraudulent. Real scholarship programs do not require you to pay to apply.
• Anyone impersonating BD TO USA or claiming to be our representative is not authorized. We have no agents, representatives, or affiliates.

If you are contacted by anyone claiming to offer guaranteed scholarships, visa processing, or university admission for a fee — please do not pay them. Report such activity to the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission or the relevant authorities.

By using this site, you acknowledge that BD TO USA bears no responsibility for your interactions with universities, third parties, or any outcomes resulting from your use of information on this site.

Nothing on this site constitutes professional academic, legal, financial, immigration, or visa advice. All content — including AI Match results, scholarship amounts, the roadmap, FAQ, and success stories — is provided for general informational purposes only.

For visa and immigration matters, consult a qualified immigration attorney or the official US Embassy in Bangladesh. For academic decisions, consult your university's international office or a certified educational consultant.

Your Use of This Site

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or reproduce the university database or scholarship data for commercial use without permission
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect site data at scale
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its infrastructure
• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated success stories or scholarship information
• Use this site to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content

User Submissions

The Success Stories page allows students to submit their own scholarship journey. By submitting a story, you:

• Confirm that the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Grant BD TO USA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, edit, and share your story on this site
• Understand that your story may be lightly edited for clarity, brevity, or to remove personal information
• May request removal of your story at any time by contacting us

We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission that appears fabricated, misleading, or inappropriate without notice.

Note: Stories currently shown on the site are illustrative demo examples, not real verified submissions. They will be replaced with verified real stories as they are collected and reviewed.

Intellectual Property

The BD TO USA name, logo, compass mark, and original written content on this site are the intellectual property of the site's creator. The site's source code is independently written.

University names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective institutions and are used here for reference only.

You may share links to this site freely. You may not reproduce or republish the site's original content commercially without written permission.

Third-Party Links

This site links to external websites including university official sites, scholarship portals, government pages, and other resources. These links are provided for your convenience.

We have no control over the content, accuracy, or availability of external sites. A link from BD TO USA does not constitute an endorsement of the linked site. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of third-party sites.

This site is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We make no guarantee that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

This is a personal side project maintained by one developer in their spare time. While we try our best, we cannot guarantee constant uptime, data freshness, or that the AI matching is always correct.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.

Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, please stop using the site.

What Data We Collect

BD TO USA is built with privacy first. Here is exactly what we collect — and what we don't:

What we do NOT collect:

• Your name, student ID, or passport information
• Your CGPA, IELTS score, or field of study (the AI Match runs entirely in your browser — none of this is sent to or stored on our servers)
• Payment information (we charge nothing)
• IP addresses linked to individual identities

What we do collect:

• Newsletter email address — only if you choose to subscribe. See Section 14.
• Story submissions — name, university, and scholarship details you voluntarily submit through our form. These go through Tally (a third-party form tool) under their privacy policy.
• Anonymized analytics data — page views, country of origin, and browser type, collected via Google Analytics only if you accept cookies. See Section 15.
• Bug reports — if you submit a bug report through our form, we receive your submitted text. No account is required.

Newsletter, Email Marketing & Your Data

When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect:

• Your email address
• The date and source of your signup

We use this data to:

• Send you scholarship alerts, deadline reminders, and platform updates
• Understand which content is most relevant to our community (aggregate open/click rates)
• Improve our email content over time based on engagement patterns
• Occasionally notify you about new features or important changes to BD TO USA

What we do NOT do with your email:

• We do not sell your email address to any third party — ever
• We do not share your email with advertisers or data brokers
• We do not use your email for unrelated commercial purposes

Our newsletter currently uses Google Forms / Tally for signup collection. Your data is stored according to their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies when you sign up.

Google Analytics & Site Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use BD TO USA — which pages are most useful, where users come from, and how they navigate the site. This helps us improve the platform for Bangladeshi students.

Google Analytics is consent-gated on this site. It only activates if you click "Accept" on our cookie consent banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is blocked.

When analytics is active, Google may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Approximate geographic location (country/city — not precise)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Referral source (e.g., Google Search, direct link)

We have enabled IP anonymization in our Google Analytics configuration. We do not use Google Analytics Advertising Features, remarketing, or demographics tracking.

Google's privacy policy governs how Google processes this data: policies.google.com/privacy.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect basic server-side request logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) as part of their standard infrastructure operation, under their own privacy policy.

Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding data BD TO USA holds about you:

• Access: You can request a copy of any data we hold about you
• Correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your data (newsletter email, submitted story, etc.)
• Unsubscribe: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time
• Withdraw consent: You can clear your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site

BD TO USA does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us.

What Cookies We Use

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. BD TO USA uses a minimal number of cookies — only what is necessary for the site to function correctly.

Functional cookies (always active):

• ga_consent — Stores your analytics cookie preference (accept / decline). Stored in localStorage. Expires when you clear browser data.
• Session storage — Temporary in-memory storage used by the AI Match to hold your current session preferences. Cleared when you close the tab.

Analytics cookies (only if you accept):

• _ga, _ga_*, _gid — Google Analytics cookies that track page views and sessions anonymously. These are set by Google. They expire after 2 years (_ga) or 24 hours (_gid).

Cookies we do NOT use:

• Advertising or retargeting cookies
• Social media tracking pixels
• Third-party behavioral profiling cookies
• Any cookies that identify you personally

Managing Cookies

You have full control over the cookies on this site:

• Analytics consent: Choose "Accept" or "Skip" on the cookie banner when you first visit. To change your choice, open your browser's developer tools, go to Application → Local Storage → bdtous.com, and delete the ga_consent key. Refresh the page and the banner will reappear.
• Browser settings: You can configure your browser to block all cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a site tries to set a cookie. Note that blocking functional cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
• Google Analytics opt-out: You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being sent to Google Analytics across all sites.

We do not use cookie walls. You can use all core features of BD TO USA even if you decline analytics cookies.
